The Godfather

You know I don’t dare to criticize this giant heritage of movie industry , so what I write here is just pieces of comments .

The first time I watched this movie , I got bored in the first 20-30 minutes so I immediately pressed the stop button and opened the refrigerator looking for something to eat while I’m playing video games on my desktop ; I don’t want insult I just want you to feel the depth of catastrophe I interfered with .

The time passed and one day to watch the Godfather along with my grandfather while my parents were abroad so I had enough time and mood , despite the fact that I accepted that it’s probable that I wouldn’t enjoy the movie . I started watching and I continued to the last part for 3 days in order to fully understand it and make it proper for myself . at the third part credits I raised my head , closed my eyes and took a breath and I told myself that I’m gonna watch this shit again and then I promised myself not to pre-judge and buy a poster of Al-Pacino and punch it to my wall .

The movie was immense , the mafia that represent the Mediterranean’s taught , drowning you into their shit-hole family of honor , murders , love , prestige and … . they do whatever they want to keep themselves safe , they don’t tolerate a member shed a tear like a baby girl for a job that he/she wants . they raise blood to possess the job . families make alliance with each other sometimes and some other times for the so lost honor they slaughter each other . I think the philosophy of this movie gives us a run down : “ I want so I make it happen , no matter what ,, . the term godfather as the movie implies , refers to : “Now Italians regard that as a very close, a very sacred religious relationship,, . or on the other hand visually expressed as someone the most respectful , taking care of his family by making decisions in the backdoor of shop fronts , behind a long desk sitting on a leather chair .

So many kills in this movie ; silent ones , betrayal ones , gang attacks , brother killings , set-up kills , vengeance kills , …

In the process of movie you see a soldier in a family as a blood son of godfather making a godfather out of himself , but with what price !? . you observe the peeling of this character through the parts in order to reach the highest power in family , closing his eyes to many things , putting behind his old character and emerge as a god ; Who can play this role !?

Al-Pacino , Al-Pacino , Al-Pacino ! I just sit on my knees in front of you . He performs huge , charismatic , fierce and realistic like he is really a mob boss . his eye contacts with others just makes you wanna bleed internally .

The movie makes you cry in sometimes , makes you pity , makes you angry , makes you laugh , makes you enthusiastic , makes you hit the one sitting next to you [:D] … it simply pushes your every button and raises every feeling you are made of .

one thing that caught my interest , I mean beside the Al-Pacino , was the multiplicity of heavy and deep dialogues that kept me writing all the time while I was watching , my favorite of all was the time when Al-Pacino hugged his daughter and said : “I burn in hell to keep you safe,, . the other thing was sincerity and calm personality of Tom Hagen [ Robert Duvall] in the movie

Francis Ford Coppola made a rich Heritage . so watch it and remember not to hit the one sitting next to you ;-)
